This is another collaborative series with the artist Rocky, who is the subject of the series. For these images we set out to record Rocky's body among a variety of natural settings, focusing on textures, shape and shadow, hoping to contrast them with the forms and textures of the body. We chose a single pose and framing for the whole series, as the body represented a constant among the varied nature we shot in. Because of the interaction each place and natural form has with the body, both from the variety of light and physically, even this consistently presented body has a huge amount of variety from shot to shot, and so becomes an interesting exploration in how very different even one body, at essentially the same moment in time, can be perceived.
