Geometric Autumn

This series no doubts speaks something to my mindset; that I could be fastidious enough to try and bring a degree of order to something as random as autumn leaves! But that's just what I did - I collected a variety of different leaves and pressed and then refashioned them into a variety of different quadrilaterals, before carefully arranging them back in their natural setting.

This was one of the first projects I did while studying photography at uni. It wasn't formally for any brief, I had just got my first DSLR and wanted something to go and learn how to use it. As a result, while I am forever fond of the idea of this series, and it's unique eye-catching visual, I am also a little frustrated at the imperfections in focus from a photographer just starting to learn his craft.
